The new Basia Surf 45 SCW Type-R from Daiwa is a surf casting reel with high technical qualities. It has the Zaion carbon frame and the ergonomic DS5 carbon rotor, this allows lightness and fluidity of rotation, a feature required by the best surfcasting fishing experts. It has 3 reels, 2 of which are shallow for long distance fishing with fine or braided nylon. Waterproof, it has 7 CRBB bearings. Nothing can alter the fluidity of this jewel. In addition, its Cross Wrap slow swing system improves the feeling of fluidity and comfort during recovery. Associated with the super slow ratio of this reel, it offers more power to the mechanism and allows a controlled recovery during even the most demanding fights. <p>The new Emblem in the Surfcasting version confirms the winning formula of the previous model, further improving it both in terms of build quality and look. Both body and rotor were built in the innovative ZAION V material: a carbon-based composite material, lighter and more resistant than traditional materials and totally free from corrosion. The weight of the new Emblem is in fact reduced by 25 grams compared to the previous generation. The new 45 spool is Ultra Longa Cast with a Shallow profile (0.30-0.30 m) facilitating the use of thin lines to maximize casting distance. A second Long Cast spool with higher capacity (0.35-300m) is supplied.
